Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)

                  ASEAN is regional organization established on August 8th, 1967 when five states: Indonesia, Malaysia, Phillippines, Singapore, and Thailand signed the ASEAN Declaration (also known as Bangkok Declaration). The membership of ASEAN have expanded when more southeast asian countries joined the organizations. Brunei Darussalam entered ASEAN in 1984, Vietnam in 1995, Lao PDR and Myanmar in 1997 and Cambodia in 1999.


                   On its 30th Anniversary, ASEAN leaders agreed on a shared vision of ASEAN as a concert of Southeast Asian nations, outward looking, living in peace, stability and prosperity, bonded together in partnership development and in a community of caring societies. At th 9th ASEAN Summit in 2003, the ASEAN leaders resolved to establish an " ASEAN Community". On the 12th ASEAN Summit in January 2007, the leaders affirmed their strong commitment, to accelerate the establishment of an ASEAN Community by 2015 and signed the Cebu Declaration on the Acceleration of the Establishment of an ASEAN Community by 2015.


World Wildlife Fund (WWF)
  •  WWF is one of the world's largest conservations organizations
  •   It was conceived on the April 29th 1961
  •   Its firs office opened in september 1961 in the swiss town of Morges
  •   The central secretariat for the network called WWF International is now located in Gland, Switzerland (Organization Structure)

  •    Over the 50 years since it was founded, WWF Invested almos US$ 10 Billion in more than 13.000 projects.

               So, What is WWF's Mission?

                      Its mission is to stop the degradation of the planet's natural environment and to build a future in which human live in harmony with nature, by: conserving the world's biological diversity, ensuring that the use of renewable natural resources is sustainable, promoting the reduction of pollution and wasteful consumption.
